Would Lucius just parkour on his enemies just for fun
Depends on his mood. Sometimes he's a stickler and wants fights as classical and by-the-book as possible (look how mad he got at Loken in "Horus Rising"!), sometimes he just does whatever the fuck he's in the mood for - flinging people from ledges and stuff, jumping over things and all that (for example with the Mechanicum forces in "Pride and Fall" or the Drukhari in "Faultless Blade").

Hear me out
Lucius (Pre-Heresy) would give his pet serf a black silk(or leather) collar with lilac trim. Lilac as in his lilac from the official paints.
He'd also cover them in numerous hickeys, of course - but the collar is the main thing to seal his ownership, and he loves seeing his little pet squirm under the gaze of other ECs when they look at the collar and the bites and contemplate if they would dare try to steal Lucius' prey. He watches them with this smug, shit-eating grin from afar, daring them - knowing that regardless of what happens he will win and he gets to enjoy his pet afterwards.
I'd imagine he also wouldn't mind leaving marks while others are watching or pulling his serf aside to pin them against the wall and leave a fresh row of hickeys on the side of their neck, knowing from their flustered expression that they'll be begging him later to fuck them stupid.
Post-Heresy however? I'm not sure. I think he'd either be cycling through new "pets" so quickly that he'd give up on collars and just stick to biting and scratching, or he'd stick to one pet who he tries to keep alive as long as possible - after all, it wouldn't do for the pet of The Eternal to not also be eternal. Maybe even have a harem of pet serfs who were merged with daemonettes so they can live and entertain him for as long as he himself will live.
Now, does he ever actually fall in love with his pets as people? I think some part of him would love them as one would a dog or cat, but his pet-love is as fleeting as his moods. The only people he'd love eternally and unconditionally are Fulgrim and himself.

heretical take #1: bellamort is riddled (pun intended) with secrets
Maybe it's because 'the truth will destroy them' is one of my all-time, top ten tropes, but I think Bellamort actually fits this.
While I do enjoy the Gomez/Morticia-esque dynamic they're often characterized with, I think they're not so straightforward as murder wife/husband.
(1) Riddled with secrets
Re: my earlier, slightly-heretical post, bellatrix lestrange is not in love with tom riddle (and she would die of mortification if she found out)' I don't believe that Voldemort's backstory is common knowledge amongst even the inner circle of Death Eaters, and Lucius not reacting when Harry taunts Bellatrix about Voldemort's blood status, imo, is insufficient evidence to suggest otherwise.
Bellatrix (in the Bellamort ship/fandom) is characterized as being a 'he's one of the good ones' type of blood supremacist, which would explain why she would be bigoted againsy even half-bloods yet become Voldemort's follower and lover. What I think this neglects is that both the family Bellatrix was born into (the Blacks) and married into (the Lestranges) are two of the most blood supremacist families. Draco Malfoy, for example, calls Hermione a Mudblood and Ron a poor, but he never insults Harry's blood status. The Blacks and Lestrange are probably second only to the Gaunts in terms of the bigotry, and the Gaunts inbred themselves to death. The Blacks are not far off, with Sirius and Regulus's parents, Orion and Walburga, being cousins.
All this is to say, Bellatrix is more than likely beyond the point of being a 'one of the good ones' type of bigot. She loses her temper at Harry, not because she knows the truth and he hit a nerve, but because the idea of the great Lord Voldemort coming from the same dirty, filthy stock as Harry Potter is, well... heresy.
People who write/meta exclusively about Tom Riddle pre-1970s are often accused of forgetting that he's also Voldemort, which can happen, but I think it's equally common for those to focus on Voldemort during/post-rise to power to forget that he's Tom Riddle.
Therefore, on the other hand, I think it's safe to assume that TMR/LV is keeping secrets from everyone. (ref: my #many faces of tag and many faces of tom riddle masterpost for the extended version of my Tom Riddle hot takes).
The relevant summary is that even as Voldemort, he is extremely insecure and ashamed of his blood status. Voldemort is terrified of dying, and terrified of inadequacy, both of which lead to his inevitable downfall through his fixation on killing Harry. If he values Bellatrix's opinion and wants her to think highly of him (unlike Harry and Peter Pettigrew, whom he tells in the graveyard), he would never, ever, ever tell her his father is a Muggle -- his pride just wouldn't allow him to.
(2) Blood is thin, I guess?
The idea that Bellatrix's love for Voldemort is so powerful it can override her bigotry is romantic, yes, but perhaps a little unfounded based on her other relationships. Although we don't know much about Andromeda, Narcissa and Bellatrix seem close, so it's not a stretch to assume all three sisters are close, too.
(I promise I'm going somewhere with this)
Bellatrix and Andromeda grow up together for >18 years, but their sisterly love cannot survive Andromeda's rejection of blood supremacy, in Bellatrix's eyes, her marriage to a Muggle-born and half-blood child.
At the beginning of Deathly Hallows, at the Death Eater meeting, Voldemort teases (very mean-spiritedly) Narcissa and Bellatrix about (half-blood) Nymphadora's marriage to (half-blood) Remus. Bellatrix is extremely offended by this and eagerly accepts Voldemort's suggestion that she 'prune' her family tree.
You can say that Nymphadora and Andromeda are different people, and they are, but the whole Bellatrix/Nymphadora beef shows that Bellatrix is not influenced by her (once) love for her sister, or least, blood purity is much more important to her.
The elevation of blood purity above family bonds suggests that Bellatrix (a talented Occlumens) is very, very good at compartmentalizing her feelings from the ideology she believes in.
(3) You like me and want to be me so much, it makes you look stupid
The other thing about Bellamort, is why even? Why would Voldemort, who is a character who's depicted to have a, let's say, hard time with love, be romantically or otherwise attracted to someone?
Yes, Bellatrix is smart, and beautiful, and powerful, and from a very established and wealthy wizarding family, but why is Voldemort so impressed by all this?
Sometimes we find people attractive because we want to be them. Not in a Saltburn-esque, drinking bathwater and wearing their skin kind of way, but nonetheless. Bellatrix's circumstances, of being born into a pureblood family and likely having at least a decent childhood, is something Voldemort covets but can never achieve.
For Bellatrix's part, she quite literally worships Voldemort, which is strange, because unlike, say, Pettigrew, obsequiousness does not become her -- when dealing with anyone else, she is always haughty and often belligerent.
All her life, Bellatrix had been taught to believe that people who are not pureblood witches and wizards are far below her, half-bloods included. The fact Tom Riddle was raised as Muggle, no doubt, would also disgust her. Some say that Bellatrix might make an exception for Voldemort because he's powerful, but I doubt it. I think this suggestion neglects that not only is stubbornness one of Bellatrix's key personality traits, but she is one of the most stubborn, hard-headed characters in the whole canon.
Notably, wand stiffness/floppiness is correlated with the mindset of the owner, and Bellatrix's wand is unyielding, just like her. The world bends to her mindset. Not the other way around.
The only way Bellatrix could consider Voldemort worthy of worship is the fact that she thinks he is pureblood. And, in turn, Bellatrix's bloodline is one of Voldemort's favourite things about her.

Would you consider writing something with Lucius the Eternal?
Maybe! I actually only learned more about him recently and got on a little kick. I'm pretty poorly versed in chaos but I DO like pre-heresy ECs and I want to learn more about him.
Plus he's hot. I'm a slut for a man with white hair.

I am totally with you. As fun as the 40k-bunch is and as much as I love both their tragic fall and their twisted rise again (let's be honest - Fabius, Eidolon, Lucius and the others got so much more colourful and interesting!), I think their origin story and the subsequential flaws (of course they don't have flaws ... 😉) are a bit overlooked in fandom.
I did a lot of pre-Heresy Fulgrim-art. And a lot of pre-Heresy-art of his boys, because in my opinion you don't need a cursy-wursy sword to let them fall to Chaos - their own absolute adorable hubris and wonderful compulsive perfection are enough.
(I am not that much interested in non-Astartes personel, though, the whole Remembrancer-crowd is just not my cup of tea.)
Pre-Heresy Fulgrim has a lot to offer! And his Primarch-novel is hands down the best.
Baby Scout pre-Heresy Lucius is adorable.
And pre-Heresy Fabius is already the most brilliant medical mind in the Galaxy.
*Slams book on desk*
You!
*Pointing at everyone in the Warhammer fandom*
I've got a bone to pick with all of y'all! How come the fandom representation of Fulgrim is so damn empty compared to his actual novel depiction!? Why did no one tell me about all the people on his damn ship pre heresy?!?!?
All anyone ever talks about with Fulgrim is the hee hoo slaanesh primearch, or the smug artist boy. But no one has mentioned that the first description of his eyes is that they're friendly. Or that he's introduced in his horus heresy novel by walking in and gently asking a wonderful musician to continue her concert after a noble disrespected her. I know about all the creepy and horrible shit. But why did none of you ever mention he's absolutely sweet?!?!?
*takes a deep breath*
Anywho, I'm reading Fulgrim visions of treachery, it's pretty good.
....
....
How dare none of you mention Ostian, Serena, or Bequa! Those three goobers are exactly what I wanted in a Warhammer novel and they deserve more attention!

Pre-Heresy Lucius and Post-Heresy/Decapitation Eidolon headcanons
Inspired by the Lucius designs of @/tagedeszorns and @/amriagaelraincaller and the travesty of GW making ECs crusty as hell in the official art
Pre-Heresy Lucius
Post-Heresy will be saved for a later post
I feel like he could have mosaicism where his regular genes might 'overpower' the geneseed through his physical appearance, sort of like a reference to his future self that's 'unkillable' (in a sense)
He probably would've been insecure about it since it'd be seen as an imperfection and used a lot of bleach and foundation to get himself to look like the other ECs.
Without the foundation, the patches of his natural skin tone were only really visible if you squint since he's still a Chemosian and had the generic "I've never seen the sun ever" skintone, but he would've been extremely self-conscious about it and thought everyone could tell and were judging him for it
Still doesn't excuse him being a massive asshole, he probably fought anyone that looked at him with any emotion resembling pity or commented on any faintly brown streaks in his hair.
Post-Decapitation Eidolon
I don't have much on him in my head but the big metal ring could also be a collar since he's apparently a consort?
Speakers in his shoulderpieces
I feel like he wouldn't look as fucked as the other CSMs since he'd still idolize his former appearance and armour
Not-quite-hearing aids in his ears where they amplify received sound to an absurd amount for Maximum Brain Rattle™

Yes! I love that!
Him being a child-gladiator is canon (it's in his game rules). I'm not sure how Chemosians dress, but I'm imagining some more decorative version of work overalls or something like that. Because even if Fulgrim modeled the planet into some solar punk paradise, it's still a factory world.
A small gift for @tagedeszorns with how the beloved nuisance that is Lucius got to be discovered for the third legion.
Panting the boy stood over the dismembered body of his foe, he could barely hear the cheering over the sound of blood rushing in his ears but he smiled. The thrill of a close fight was unmatched and this one had been close, for a moment at least.
Suddenly the cheering was overturned by furious hollering. Lucius' head snapped up, trying to calm his breathing and clearing his vision. The followers of the champion he had just unceremoniously taken apart, were enraged by the death of their leader. Pushing past the masses they begun making their way towards Lucuis, the guards who were trying to stop them were cut down brutally as at least a dozen men jumped into the arena.
Lucius straightend himself, his muscles burned after the day of fighting and especially after this last one, but as if he'd let them have at him without a proper fight.
He went through his hair as they surrounded him, a mocking smile on his face.
"You're challenging me!? I guess you liked the performance so much you just need to experience it firsthand do you?" he raised his rapier, the tremor that went through his exhausted arm was not notecible to the angry masses, but one had noticed, one who had watched him since his first fight today. The man, hidden in the shadows, gripped the handle of his sword, but neither drew it, nor stepped out the shadows yet, rather letting the scene unfold.
The Arena was in disorder, half of the audience crying out in shock and outrage while the other half cheered on the new entertainment.
Lucius dodged two crude blows without much difficulty, trying to get to a more advantageous position. His speed was his greatest strength, but it was deminishing rapidly and as unskilled the croons were, they noticed him slowing down too, getting more aggressive with their attacks. Lucius saw the blow aimed at his head coming, trying to evade, he knew it wouldn't be enough. Angrily he raised his sword, finishing the slice that would end his last victim.
He couldn't see the blow that severed the arm with the oncoming club, having it fly past Lucuis and smashing into another man. The struggle had become a massacre, Lucius and the others barley able to keep up with the flash of royal purple and gold which moved through the remaining men of the dead champion.
Now the adrenaline was kicking in again and Lucius struggled as he felt someone grab him, trying to stab the person that held him. The air escaped his lungs in a huff as he was dropped an unexpected long distance to the ground. He hid his shock and confusion behind a scowl as he scrambled off the ground, bringing some distance between him and the giant. He stood up straight, trying to make himself as big as possible as he took in the massive Warrior before him.
"Who are you?" he demanded having his rapier raised again, very well aware that if the giant wanted to hurt him he could not do anything to stop it, but that didn't mean he would not make it as hard as possible for the other.
As the expression on the giants transformed into an amsued grin and a chuckle excaped him, Lucius took a moment to look at his opponent properly. Of course he knew what the giant was, even the plebs would recognize an Astartes, a son of the Phoenix who in turn was the son of the Emperor, beloved by all.
Lucius had never greatly cared for politics or the art of war at large, he wanted to fight and he wanted to be the best at it. But still, he had never seen one in the flesh, they were more imposing than he had imagined.
"Sergeant Saradar Tyrion and... put that stick down Lucius," Lucius' eyes were drawn back to the slim, surprisingly handsome face for an appearently seasoned Warrior, to which the decorations on his armour and the scar on his right cheek gave testament to. Eyes with a purple hue looked down at him and Lucius huffed. He felt insulted, for both the comment and that the Astartes had gotten him out of the prickly situation. Still, he lowered his rapier, his muscles thanking him for it and he couldn't help but feel honored that the other knew his name.
"I could have managed those few untrained goons. But your assistance is appreciated nonetheless," Lucuis took some time to inspect himself for any wounds, only a few bruises, but he could taste blood, a tear on the inside of his lip, but on the outside there was nothing. Perhaps a scar would remain, but only on the inside, it would not be visible to others and only he would know it was there. That fact calmed him and the fact that there was no other injury made his chest bloom with pride which was quickly diminished by the still amused Astartes who looked at him with an unsettling but, to Lucius, familiar look. A sharply evaluating one.
"Of course, you could have,"
Lucius wrinkled his nose at the expecting silence that followed, the Astartes was expecting him to make the next move, one that would most probably determine the rest of his life.
This was just another kind of fight, another duel, another dance. He shifted his weight, adjusting his ruffled clothes and stared into those somewhat abnormal eyes. The exhaustion of the day was past him now and Lucuis knew what he wanted.
What he had wanted since the first time he saw two people in a duel, what he had done since he was a little boy who beat his first opponent. He wanted to become better, fight better, all techniques the old sword masters could teach him on Chemos, he had mastered already. But just earlier, when he had been barley able to even see the strokes that the Astartes had made, he saw something near perfection and he wanted that, but better.
"So tell me then, where did you learn to fight like that?" he asked as he raised his eyebrows, smiling inwardly the other let out a chuckle in a mix of disbelief and amusement of the audacity and guts this boy had. Though he stilled a moment later, two armored fingers going to his ear as he seemed to listen to something, before he turned and started walking away. Thrown off, Lucuis made a step to follow him before he stopped. Had he failed in some way? No, impossible! So he called out,
"You didn't answer my question!" The Sergeant glanced over his shoulder,
"And you won't receive one if you keep standing there,"
Lucius jogged after him with a huff, were all the Astartes so infuriating? But he knew, as the sounds of the city and the arena became distant that he was destined for greater things, he would learn and train, he would become the best and one day surpass the Sergeant.
One day, all the Imperium, no, all of the galaxy and beyond would know his name.

Pre-Heresy Emperor's Children x Reader [30K FANFIC]
Oh ya, we're goin' here. I'm doing this. This is a thing. No one's ASKED me to do this, but I knew the MOMENT I wrote Abaddon headcanons with an x reader that.. I needed to do this. I needed to.
Also some Galaxy in Flames spoilers!
------
EIDOLON
First of all.. HOW? and most of all, WHY?! It's Eidolon. Eidolon the asshole. Eidolon that's just the incarnation of annoyingly smarmy. Seriously, most of what he cares about is rank and probably smelling Fulgrim's cologne and how good his legion makes him look this bitch wants to BE fulgrim probably
Anyhow, congrats, you've gotten Eidolon's attention. For purposes of the story, you're a crewman of the ship. Small, insignificant, and literally just nothing [to Eidolon's eyes anyhow, you're great <3] So when he notices you? He notices you.
Starts small: Requests you to do things just to be in the same room, keeps an eye on you in general. He's trying to figure out what he's feeling, he likes this feeling and because he's Eido-fucking-lon, he's gonna indulge. You can't tell me that the man covered in gold filigree is not going to indulge even a little
He's very chatty when it's just you two. He likes the sound of his own voice, the man has them mega-vocal cords and could out scream a warsinger, so OF COURSE, he's gonna talk. And talk.
You are eventually not going to leave his side on the ship. You're here to stay and entertain. Anyone who speaks up will get punished. Maybe. At least you're protected from everyone but Eidolon
LUCIUS
Oh man. Oooohhhh man. Pre-heresy Lucius...
Clingy. Oh my god he'd be so clingy. The second he boards the ship and starts boasting about his feats, he's gonna make sure you see. You're not there? He'll still boast, but not with as much bravado. The second you enter the scene? Saul Everyone groans on the inside because if Lucius was insufferable before, he is a NIGHTMARE
Takes his time in the practice cages, gets SUPER exaggerated when you walk in. Also full on asks you to watch him
Oh?? You're upset he's scarring his face? He wouldn't understand but his smug exterior fades just a little bit as you hold his face and dab at the blood with a cloth. Just a moment of softness...
Before he says something snarky and laughs.
Tbh, probably would hesitate before betraying Saul post-warsinger. Whenever he gets back onto the ship.. he's wondering if you know. Looking over his shoulder. You can't know, you can never know. It wouldn't matter if you did, you're his
Though if Eidolon or Fulgrim told him to get rid of you.. he'd make it quick
SAUL TARVITZ
HIM! He's an Emperor's Children and still has his moments of smarmy smug, but he's not overbearing and is actually considerate unlike the other Named Lads
Soft man... would listen to you. Definately kinda similar to Little Horus in that he'd be caught off-guard with overt affection Sike. Compliment this man and he'll peacock it a little. Totally boast that he got a compliment from you. Saul owns it
Would flaunt you. You will be raised up and Saul with proudly go "This is my favorite human"
Also unlike the other headcanons, a bit of a sadder note, when Saul is escaping to warn the other legions, he'd very much regret not being able to take you with him. Of course, in a way, you're safer on the ship.
Or at least, he can hope. He knows that Eidolon and the others know of his adoration of you, so it wouldn't shock him [well it would, but you know what I mean] if it turns out you were killed on Eidolon's or someone's orders
#lucius the eternal#saul tarvitz#eidolon#lucius the eternal x reader#saul tarvitz x reader#eidolon x reader#warhammer 40k#2lim3rz writes#headcanons#eidlon is the type of bitch that would make you wear a super fancy collar.. just sayin#no one asked for this but you get it#reader insert#x reader#emperor's children
